The Serene Lake PTSA provides a wide variety of programs and enrichment for our students. Each spring, current and new programs are reviewed during the PTSA budget process. If you would like to propose chairing a new program, contact a Board Member.
The PTSA raised funds for programs, equipment, classroom supplies and district "gap" funding last year that benefited our students. The money was spent on the following programs:
29% - Academic Enrichment: Reflections Arts Program, Spelling Bee, School Assemblies, Science Night, Alumni Scholarships, Mukilteo Foundation Funding, 5th Grade Environmental Camp Funding, Field Day, etc.
23% - Classroom/Teacher Support: Teacher Request Funding, Classroom Aid, Book Fair, Staff Appreciation, etc.
21% - Events and Activities: Carnival, Fun Run, Bingo Night, Family Fun Night, Harvest Party, Back to School BBQ, Sneak A Peak, and Spelling Bee.
18% - Community Programs: Adopt-a-Plot, O.W.L., Food Drive, Toy Drive, Vision Screening, Book Exchange Night, etc.
6% - Awards and Education: Volunteer Recognition, Community Partners, Convention basket, PTA Leadership Training.
3% - Communication: Student Directory, Printing, Newsletter, Website, etc.
